In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: phy: sfp: free mii_bus in sfp_i2c_mdiobus_destroy sfp_i2c_mdiobus_create()… (CVE-2026-72391)CVE-2026-72391 0 A memory leak vulnerability in the Linux kernel's network PHY SFP driver was resolved. The issue involved improper freeing of an allocated I2C MDIO bus structure during module removal, causing a resource leak. This leak occurred when a copper or RollBall SFP module was removed via hot-removal but not during driver unbind. The fix ensures that the allocated bus is properly freed to prevent the leak.
