0

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel ALSA subsystem's FCP component could lead to a NULL pointer dereference when handling malformed USB devices that provide vendor-specific interfaces without any endpoint descriptors. The issue arises because the function fcp_find_fc_interface() reads endpoint 0 without verifying the presence of endpoints, causing a NULL pointer dereference and potential kernel crash. The vulnerability has been resolved by skipping vendor-specific interfaces lacking endpoints.
