In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: sungem: fix probe error cleanup gem_init_one() calls gem_remove_one() when… (CVE-2026-72406)CVE-2026-72406 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's sungem network driver was resolved involving improper cleanup during probe error handling. The function gem_init_one() incorrectly called gem_remove_one() upon register_netdev() failure, causing double freeing of resources. This could lead to resource management issues. The fix ensures resources are freed only once and the device state is properly cleared to avoid half-registered devices. The issue was identified through static analysis and manually verified.
