In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: fib: Don't ignore error route in local/main tables. (CVE-2026-72421)CVE-2026-72421 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's IPv4 routing subsystem was resolved that caused inconsistent behavior when handling error routes in local and main routing tables. Specifically, when multiple routing tables are enabled but no routing rules are configured, the kernel's fib_lookup() function could overwrite an error route with a valid route from the default table, leading to incorrect routing decisions. This issue was fixed to ensure error routes are respected consistently. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/15/2026, 06:32:23 UTC Added: 08/15/2026, 15:53:19 UTC |
