In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix stack slot index in nospec checks check_stack_write_fixed_off()… (CVE-2026-72428)CVE-2026-72428 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's BPF subsystem related to incorrect stack slot indexing in Spectre v4 sanitization checks has been resolved. The flaw involved a mismatch in how stack write bytes were tracked and checked for speculative execution sanitization, potentially leaving some writes insufficiently sanitized. This issue was fixed by aligning the slot index used in the sanitization pre-check with that used during the write operation.
