In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md/raid10: fix writes_pending leak on write request failures… (CVE-2026-72439)CVE-2026-72439 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's md/raid10 subsystem caused a writes_pending reference leak on write request failures. The issue occurred because certain failure paths in raid10_write_request() completed the bio and returned early, skipping the normal write completion path and thus not releasing the writes_pending reference. This flaw has been resolved by modifying raid10_write_request() to return a status indicating whether the write request was successfully queued, allowing proper release of the writes_pending reference.
