The flaw allowed a short or malformed reply to leak the receive buffer and drain the Receive queue, potentially causing resource exhaustion. The issue stemmed from improper bounds checking during speculative decoding of reply frames, leading to orphaned receive buffers that were only freed at transport teardown.
