In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: seq: avoid stale FIFO cells during resize snd_seq_fifo_resize() still… (CVE-2026-74261)CVE-2026-74261 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel ALSA sequencer subsystem involving snd_seq_fifo_resize() was resolved. The issue occurs when resizing the FIFO buffer pool, where stale FIFO cells from the old pool can be incorrectly relinked, causing the pool deletion to hang. This happens due to a race condition between resizing and event handling paths, leading to a blocking condition during pool teardown. The fix involves rejecting stale cells before relinking and revalidating event cells under lock to prevent stale references.
