The issue involved calling qdisc_tree_reduce_backlog during a peek operation before restoring the queue length (qlen), which could cause the parent's qlen_notify callback to deactivate a class incorrectly. This could lead to wild memory access errors, especially when qfq is used as a parent with codel as a child.
