In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: validate embedded address parameter length sctp_verify_asconf() and… (CVE-2026-74287)CVE-2026-74287 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel SCTP implementation was resolved that involved improper validation of embedded address parameter lengths. The functions sctp_verify_asconf() and sctp_verify_param() validated only the outer parameter size but did not verify that the embedded address parameter's declared length fit within the outer parameter bounds. This flaw could allow a malformed peer to specify an embedded address parameter length exceeding the enclosing parameter size, leading to out-of-bounds reads during INIT or ASCONF processing. The fix adds validation to reject malformed parameters with embedded lengths extending beyond the enclosing parameter.
