In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: topology: Check PCM and DAI name strings before use Topology objects store… (CVE-2026-74291)CVE-2026-74291 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ASoC topology parser was resolved by adding checks for PCM and DAI name strings before use. The issue involved topology objects storing PCM and DAI names in fixed-size arrays without proper NUL termination validation. This could cause the parser to read beyond the intended buffer when processing malformed topology blobs. The fix rejects unterminated PCM and DAI name fields before treating them as C strings.
