The issue occurred because cmd_timer and ncmd_timer were not disabled before the hci_dev structure was freed, allowing timer callbacks to dereference freed memory during device teardown. This could lead to instability or crashes. The fix involves adding disable_delayed_work_sync() calls to fully quiesce timers before freeing resources.
