The issue involved the dm_poll_bio() callback allowing unbounded polling, which could lead to an RCU CPU stall when using io_uring IOPOLL on a dm-stripe target. The fix limits polling to a one-shot operation, preventing prolonged spinning in the poll function and allowing the system to reschedule or reap completions between polling attempts.
