A race condition vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Operating Performance Points (OPP) subsystem was resolved. The flaw occurs due to a race between adding a new OPP entry and looking it up concurrently, where the reference count of the new OPP can be corrupted because it is incremented before full initialization. This can lead to premature freeing of the OPP structure. The fix involves initializing key fields before making the OPP visible to concurrent lookups.
