A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's rtw89 WiFi driver involved incorrect type handling in PCI Advanced Error Reporting (AER) handlers. The driver stored an ieee80211_hw pointer but retrieved it as a net_device pointer in error handlers, causing operations to access incorrect memory offsets. This was fixed by using ieee80211_stop_queues and ieee80211_wake_queues functions consistent with other driver paths. The fix was tested on the RTL8852CE device.
