The issue involved improper handling of VMAs marked with VM_IO or VM_PFNMAP when creating Shared Virtual Memory (SVM) ranges. These VMAs lack backing struct page objects required by GPUSVM, causing repeated failures in get_pages() and potentially leading to an infinite loop in a driver's page-fault handler. The fix rejects such VMAs and returns an error to prevent this condition. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/15/2026, 06:32:33 UTC Added: 08/15/2026, 15:53:11 UTC |
