In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/vt-d: Clear Present bit before tearing down scalable-mode context entry… (CVE-2026-74439)CVE-2026-74439 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's iommu/vt-d code was resolved that involved improper clearing of the Present bit in scalable-mode context entries during teardown. The issue allowed a window where hardware could fetch a partially zeroed context entry with the Present bit still set, potentially causing unpredictable behavior or spurious faults. The fix aligns with Intel VT-d specifications by clearing the Present bit first, flushing it, invalidating the context cache, and then zeroing the entry.
