In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: eventfs: Fix use-after-free in eventfs_remove_rec() eventfs_remove_rec()… (CVE-2026-74606)CVE-2026-74606 0 A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's eventfs subsystem was resolved. The flaw involved the eventfs_remove_rec() function, which recursively removes child entries but improperly handled list iteration after removal, potentially accessing freed memory. This was due to the use of list_for_each_entry() instead of the safer list_for_each_entry_safe() to preserve the next pointer before recursive removal. The issue could lead to unsafe memory access during the SRCU callback queuing process. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/22/2026, 18:30:26 UTC Added: 08/22/2026, 22:51:31 UTC |
