In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: rtl8723bs: fix OOB read in WMM_param_handler() WMM_param_handler()… (CVE-2026-74650)CVE-2026-74650 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's rtl8723bs staging driver was fixed to address an out-of-bounds (OOB) read in the WMM_param_handler() function. The handler copies a fixed-size WMM parameter element from a received information element without validating its length, leading to potential OOB reads when processing short WMM information elements. This flaw can be triggered remotely via association response frames from an access point. The fix involved adding proper length validation inside the handler to prevent reading beyond the element boundary.
