The issue occurred because ebt_nflog did not hold a reference to the NFLOG backend logger module, allowing rules to be called after the nfnetlink_log module was unloaded, leading to a use-after-free condition detected by KASAN. The fix involves acquiring and releasing the ULOG logger module reference properly during rule validation and destruction, preventing module teardown while rules are active.
