The issue arises from a race condition where page tables can be freed while being walked by ptdump, potentially causing UAF. The fix involves acquiring appropriate locks on the init_mm mmap to prevent concurrent freeing and walking of page tables. Additional related fixes address similar UAF risks in x86 page attribute logic and ensure stable kernel mappings during concurrent page table operations.
