In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vhost-scsi: Validate T10 PI scatterlist counts When T10 PI is negotiated,… (CVE-2026-74703)CVE-2026-74703 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's vhost-scsi component related to T10 Protection Information (PI) scatterlist validation has been resolved. The flaw allowed malformed requests to specify protection byte lengths that cover or exceed the payload length, causing improper handling of data scatter-gather lists. This could lead to a zero data scatter-gather list count reaching an internal allocator function, triggering a kernel BUG_ON condition. The fix involves rejecting protection lengths that cover or exceed the payload and properly propagating errors during protection scatterlist calculations.
