The flaw allowed crafted Btrfs images with malformed inline LZO compressed file extents lacking valid segment headers to trigger a kernel slab-out-of-bounds read, detected by KASAN. This occurs because the decompression function attempts to read beyond the boundary of the extent buffer when the segment header or payload is missing. The issue has been fixed by validating the total length of the inline LZO compressed extent to ensure the presence of both an LZO header and segment header with a non-zero payload.
