The issue occurs because enic_remove() cancels some but not all work items, allowing a tx_hang_reset timeout to schedule a function after the device memory is freed. This can lead to use-after-free conditions during device removal. The fix involves using disable_work_sync() to properly cancel and block rescheduling of all relevant work items during teardown.
