A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's w1 driver for the DS28E17 1-Wire to I2C bridge allows an oversize length value on an I2C block read. The driver accepts a length byte from the device that can exceed the buffer size, leading to a potential out-of-bounds read. This issue has been resolved by rejecting lengths above the maximum allowed at both relevant code sites.
