A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's net/smc subsystem related to SMC-Rv2 LLC messages has been resolved. The issue involves an out-of-bounds read in the function smc_llc_save_add_link_rkeys when processing peer rkey counts on links with max_recv_sge equal to 1. This results from accessing memory beyond the allocated buffer size during link addition, which can cause kernel memory corruption detected by KASAN. The vulnerability affects the handling of SMC-Rv2 link additions regardless of peer input. No CVSS score is available for this issue.
