A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's io_uring query interface allows a user to specify a size parameter larger than the kernel expects, leading to excessive zeroing of memory up to nearly 4 GiB. This occurs because the user-supplied size is used in copy_struct_to_user() without proper clamping, potentially causing clear_user() to zero trailing bytes beyond intended limits. The issue affects the io_handle_query_entry() function and the IORING_REGISTER_QUERY interface. The vulnerability has been resolved by rejecting sizes larger than PAGE_SIZE, aligning with recommended practices for copy_struct_* interfaces.
