A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Chrome platform sensorhub component allowed out-of-bounds read and write operations due to improper validation of an EC-reported sensor number. The flaw involved unchecked indexing of a sensor state array, which could lead to memory corruption. The issue has been resolved by adding validation to drop malformed events before use.
