A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's NVMe over TCP implementation allowed a controller to report a read operation as complete even if fewer bytes than requested were transferred. This could cause user space to receive stale or incorrect data in the read buffer. The issue was fixed by adding checks to ensure the actual bytes received match the requested length before completing the read operation.
