A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's svcrdma component allowed RPC-over-RDMA clients to cause a buffer overflow by sending inline replies that exceed the pull-up buffer size. This flaw could lead to memory corruption due to copying data beyond the allocated buffer. The issue was addressed by modifying the pull-up logic to reject replies too large to fit the buffer, preventing overflow and connection drops.
