A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's SUNRPC subsystem was fixed by clamping the buffer length decrement in the xdr_buf_trim() function to avoid an unsigned integer underflow. The flaw occurs when buf->len is smaller than the sum of iov_lens, causing an underflow that leads to an incorrect buffer length used downstream. This was addressed by ensuring buf->len does not wrap below zero during trimming. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 09/11/2026, 21:31:31 UTC Added: 09/12/2026, 00:42:59 UTC |
