A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's eCryptfs component related to tag 70 packet parsing has been resolved. The function ecryptfs_parse_tag_70_packet() incorrectly calculates the encrypted filename size when given malformed packets with bodies smaller than expected fixed metadata fields, causing an underflow. The fix involves rejecting tag 70 packets that do not contain the required signature, cipher code, and at least one byte of encrypted filename data before performing size calculations.
