A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's eCryptfs implementation allowed oversized encrypted_key_size values in the parse_tag_3_packet function, leading to out-of-bounds writes. This flaw affected the AES-192 cipher path where encrypted_key_size could exceed the maximum allowed size without proper bounds checking. The issue was resolved by enforcing a 64-byte limit on encrypted_key_size, preventing memory corruption.
