A use-after-free vulnerability was resolved in the Linux kernel's NFS server (nfsd) component related to the handling of compound operations. The issue involved freeing a vmalloc buffer containing operation data prematurely while it was still being accessed under an RCU read lock, leading to a potential use-after-free condition. The fix defers freeing this buffer until after an RCU grace period, preventing concurrent access to freed memory.
