A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's memory migration code causes long-running page migration batches to stall the Tasks-RCU grace period. This happens because the migrate_pages_batch() function does not properly report RCU-tasks quiescent states on PREEMPTION kernels, leading to prolonged CPU busy time and RCU stalls. The issue has been resolved by modifying the code to report quiescent states correctly. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 09/11/2026, 21:31:39 UTC Added: 09/12/2026, 00:42:33 UTC |
