A use-after-free (UAF) vulnerability in the Linux kernel's AppArmor component was fixed. The issue arises from improper handling of credential (cred) references during label replacement in AppArmor's begin_current_label_crit_section() function. This can lead to a scenario where the task's real credentials point to freed memory, causing UAF when accessed. The fix defers credential replacement to task_work executed at syscall end to avoid premature reference drops.
