A vulnerability in the Linux kernel related to iomap handling of integrity payloads has been resolved. The issue occurs because fs_bio_integrity_alloc may not allocate a bio integrity payload if PI verification is disabled on the block device, leading to a potential NULL pointer dereference when fs_bio_integrity_free is called without checking. The fix ensures that the code checks for the existence of the integrity payload before freeing it, preventing this error.
