A high-severity integer overflow vulnerability in the Linux kernel's IP Virtual Server (ipvs) FTP helper was resolved. The flaw involved improper handling of port and address parsing in the ip_vs_ftp_get_addrport() function, allowing crafted FTP PASV/EPSV responses with over-long port or address octets to cause value wrapping. This could lead to truncated port/address configuration for data connections. The issue was fixed by widening the port accumulator to 32 bits and rejecting invalid values.
