A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's virtio_net driver related to resizing the RX ring when an AF_XDP socket is attached has been resolved. The issue occurs because the virtnet_rx_resize function does not properly resize the XSK buffer array, leading to a potential write past the end of the array during virtnet_rx_resume. This can be triggered by resizing the RX ring with ethtool while an AF_XDP socket is active. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 09/17/2026, 18:31:52 UTC Added: 09/19/2026, 01:28:07 UTC |
