A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ksmbd component allowed access control entries (ACEs) in a discretionary access control list (DACL) to be improperly validated beyond the declared DACL boundary. This could permit unauthorized access during SMB2_CREATE operations. The issue was fixed by bounding ACE walks to the declared DACL size, preventing parsing of out-of-bound ACEs.
