A high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's erofs filesystem was resolved, related to invalid interlaced ztailpacking pclusters. Crafted filesystem images with these invalid pclusters could cause out-of-bounds reads, exposing kernel memory to userspace. Existing valid filesystems are not affected because the mkfs.erofs tool does not generate such pclusters with ztailpacking enabled.
