A high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's wifi cfg80211 subsystem involves improper teardown of PMSR requests before stopping P2P and NAN interfaces. This flaw can cause driver state inconsistencies by retaining stale requests, potentially leading to confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts. The issue arises because certain teardown helpers do not abort active measurements while the wireless device is still present, unlike others that do. The vulnerability has been resolved by ensuring cfg80211_pmsr_wdev_down() is called before stopping these interfaces, synchronizing driver state and request ownership.
