A vulnerability in the Linux kernel arm64 ptrace implementation was resolved, addressing an issue where the 'orig_x0' register was not kept in sync with 'x0' on syscall entry. This desynchronization allowed a tracer to manipulate the first syscall argument without triggering seccomp or audit checks. The fix moves synchronization code to ensure 'orig_x0' is updated whenever stopped on the syscall entry path.
