CVE-2026-9148: CWE-79 Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') in advancedcoding Comments – wpDiscuzCVE-2026-9148 0 The Comments – wpDiscuz plugin for WordPress contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the guest commenter 'Website' field. This occurs due to insufficient output escaping in the getCommentAuthor() function, which directly inserts user-supplied URLs into single-quoted HTML attributes without proper sanitization. The vulnerability affects versions up to and including 7.6.56. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this to inject malicious scripts that execute when other users view the affected pages.
