CVE-2026-9221: CWE-327 Use of a Broken or Risky Cryptographic Algorithm in Shenzhen i365-Tech Co. Ltd. Setracker2 Parental Control App (Android) package com.tgelec.setrackerCVE-2026-9221 0 The Setracker2 Android Companion App (com.tgelec.setracker) versions 3.1.5 and earlier use the MD5 cryptographic algorithm to generate request signatures for authenticating communications with the backend REST API. This use of MD5, a broken and risky algorithm, allows attackers to potentially reverse the signature and recover the session ID. With the session ID exposed, attackers could impersonate legitimate users and issue authenticated API requests. The vulnerability has a high severity with a CVSS score of 8.7. No patch or official remediation has been confirmed at this time. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 06/25/2026, 23:27:26 UTC Added: 06/25/2026, 23:46:08 UTC |
