A heap out-of-bounds write vulnerability was resolved in the Linux kernel's cxl/features component. The flaw occurs because the function cxlctl_get_feature() uses a user-controlled count value to write data without properly bounding it against the output buffer size, leading to a potential buffer overflow. This vulnerability allows an attacker with local privileges to cause memory corruption. The issue has been fixed by rejecting requests where the count exceeds the available payload size before allocation.
