A race condition in the Linux kernel's dmaengine xilinx_dma driver for AXIDMA and MCDMA interrupt handlers could cause the channel to be incorrectly marked as idle, leading to spurious transfer attempts and potential descriptor corruption or missed completions. The issue arises when multiple descriptors are active and an interrupt completes some but not all descriptors, causing premature transfer restarts. This vulnerability has been resolved by ensuring the channel is only marked idle when no active descriptors remain.
