A use-after-free (UAF) vulnerability was identified and resolved in the Linux kernel's binder driver within the binder_free_transaction() function. The issue arises because the target process pointer (t->to_proc) is accessed after its lock is released, allowing the target process to be freed concurrently, leading to a UAF condition. This can cause kernel memory corruption and instability. The fix involves pinning the target thread to ensure the target process remains alive during the transaction freeing operation.
