In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: guest_memfd: Treat memslot binding offset+size as unsigned values When… (CVE-2026-64283)CVE-2026-64283

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's KVM subsystem involves incorrect handling of memslot binding offset and size as signed values instead of unsigned. This can cause an overflow check to fail, allowing an invalid offset to be accepted when binding a memslot to a guest_memfd file. The issue arises because the sum of offset and size can wrap around to a negative signed value, bypassing the intended overflow protection.
