A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's zram module causes the blkdiscard command to hang indefinitely when issuing partial discard requests. This occurs because zram does not support partial discards and fails to properly complete the I/O operation, leading to a hang in submit_bio_wait(). The issue has been fixed by ensuring bio_endio() is called to end the I/O operation correctly. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 05/27/2026, 15:33:23 UTC Added: 05/28/2026, 20:54:30 UTC |
